In internet we can find many sound effects easily, just by searching on Google we’ll find hundreds of options. However, this procedure can be completely chaotic, we’ll find many pages with limited licenses that requires us to register or pay.
For these reasons, this post is intended to share a selection of 10 websites where you can find sound effects to download for free and work with full freedom. The sites in this list have been chosen taking into account that the effects are free and can be used without licensing issues.
Another aspect that I had in mind is that it is not necessary to register to download, so you won’t have to create accounts that you’ll never use again. Actually there’s one site like that, but this at the end of the list.
Despite not being a great selection, on this site you can quickly find some of the most used and wanted sound effects, classified into 16 categories. They are in MP3 format and vary in sound quality, I tried some and I found some of 24kbps and 56kbps. You can search and access the list quickly, because it is relatively small, the download is from the same list of effects and doesn’t specify a license from them.
